St Patrick

Saint Patricks Day

Every year on March 17 there is a celebration called St Patrick’s day. It is the festival of the Patron Saint. My uncle does the table. He puts the white or green cloth over the table so that its ready to put the food on. My mum and sister make the pudding.

When you set up the table you might need to have a white or a green table cloth so that the food could go on the table. The food you need to have is anything you want to have on the table, you must have filled up the table so that the people come to celebrate get filled from eating. You need pudding. Also everyone needs to wear green.

The reason why you have to wear green is because it is the favorite colour of St Patrick. If you don't wear the colour green then you don't celebrate St Patricks day. When my family and I finish our family fest from St Patricks day. My cousins and I play outside while my mum and aunties, get the dessert ready.

My sister gets the table ready for the pudding.  we have, chocolate, biscuits, cake, ice cream, and marshmallows. When we finish our sweets we have a play outside. We play cricket, baseball, and if we have spare time we play soccer.  We invite family members and some friends to come play as well.

I enjoy St Patricks day because it is the day I wear my favorite colour.  We celebrate as a family.

The girl is by the fence when she sees something by the window, there is something there. It smells nice; is it a pie? is it a muffin? is it cake?  She doesn’t know because the fence is so high. She could only see through the holes in the fence. I watch the girl putting her hands on the fence trying to climb over so that she can find out that yummy smell is.

The tall present.

On Monday it was Christmas. My family and I went to go get some shopping we bought Christmas pudding, pavlova, and ice cream. We had a big lunch with our family. Once our family left, we had some leftover ham, and pudding. When we finished cleaning we had presents that were under the christmas tree, we had 6 each. I saw a tall present that was the same as my height. That present was for me, I opened it, it was a mini Sky Tower that had extra building towers with it. I said to my Mum “I really like it, thank you Mum”.

Wiremu: Softball Explanation

Softball

Softball is a hitting game. The game uses a bat to hit the ball, the player then needs to run the bases to score.  The rules of this game are sometimes complicated.  The game is played between two teams with 9 players on each team.  I really like playing softball with my Mum and Dad.

The aim of the game is to score more runs than the opposing team. You play on a diamond shaped field with a home plate and three bases. A batter tries to hit the ball and then run around the bases to try and score a home run by getting back to the home plate without getting out.

Some of the rules are:

4 balls constitute a walk.

3 strikes constitutes an out (strike out).

If the batter has a foul after receiving the second strike, the batter is out.

The national team of NZ is called the Blacksocks. They are the national softball team for New Zealand. My favorite player is Donny Hale.

At the beach

At the beach there is a lot of waves smashing against the shore. You can see small little rocks falling off the cliff. Swimming in the cold, wet water is fun.

The thing I like best about my art is the colours I used for my art.

I would like to change my colours for the yellow and blue instead of using light blue I would like to change it to dark blue.

Wednesday Rubbish

Our wednesday rubbish bar graph shows us how much rubbish we brought to school on day 5. The total amount of rubbish that we had on day 5 was 49 pieces of rubbish. Fruit was the most because our class has been bringing lots of fruit and it is good for us and our environment.

Recycling is reusing rubbish thats made out of plastic paper and cardboard boxes. the reason why we are reusing rubbishs is because that we like to make things like books and more.
